Denise Lynne Chrysler

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Denise Lynne Neil Chrysler, 68, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 56 S Main Street in Thornville. Social Distancing protocols will be in effect, no more than 25 persons in the funeral home at one time, and face masks are required. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.

Denise passed away on Monday evening, December 7, 2020 at Altercare of Thornville, following an extended illness. She was born in Columbus, on June 3, 1952, the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Buzby) Neil. She was a graduate of Columbus Central H.S., class of 1971, and worked for many years in the maintenance department at Denison University.

An active member of the community, Denise was a member of the Millersport Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years, Past President of the Fire dept. association, Post #51 of AmVets Thornport, and past president of AmVets Auxiliary. Denise loved to cook and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her loving family: Husband John Chrysler, daughter Virginia (Jerry) Hetrick, sons Richard R (Amy) Leffman III, Kevin (Sara) Leffman; brother-in-law Bill Chrysler; sister Diane Drake, along with her 8 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Millersport Fire Department or the AmVets auxiliary. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
