Dennis M. Dunaway

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Dennis M. Dunaway, 58, of Newark, will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Sunday, two hours prior to the funeral service, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.Dennis was born in Newark, Ohio on October 2, 1957 to Marilyn (Courson) Dooley of Newark. He passed away on October 27, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital.Dennis was a machinist at Burdens Machine Shop for over 15 years. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his loving cats and family.Survivors include two children, Jamie (Steve) Thompson and Derick (Brittany) Dunaway; significant other, Martha Marty Podlich; grandchildren, Hunter and Kaitlyn Thompson and Damian Dunaway; brothers and sisters, Debbie (Lisa Bozydaj) Dooley, Dean (Robbin) Dooley, Melissa Mel Dooley, Brad (Bernadette) Dooley; former brother-in-law, Robin Dunlap; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He is preceded in death by his step-father, Joseph Dooley.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dennis to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Dr. SW, Heath, Ohio 43056.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Dennis and the Dunaway family.
