Dennis S. "Denny" Jacobs

A funeral service celebrating the life of Dennis S. Denny Jacobs, 67, of Hebron, will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, 925 W. Main Street, Hebron, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville. Denny was born in Newark, Ohio on April 7, 1951 to the late Charles and Iris (George) Jacobs. He passed away at his residence on July 2, 2018. Prior to retirement, he worked for the Lakewood Schools Systems for over 35 years. He also worked for the Hebron Fire Department for 37 years, retiring as a captain. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid Ohio State Buckeye football, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Browns fan. He loved socializing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his two loving children, Scott Jacobs and Britney Jacobs; brother, Rick (Nancy) Jacobs; grandchildren, Kaley Jacobs and Chris Barber; nieces and nephews, Mindy (Kevin) Kester, Scott (Kellie) Price, Mike Price, Ricky (Dee) Jacobs and Casey Jacobs; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda (Loughman) Jacobs; and grandson, Dakota Jacobs.
