Dennis Arthur Wagers, Sr.

Dennis Arthur Wagers, Sr., age 67, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly at Licking Memorial Hospital. Dennis was born January 24, 1958 in Newark, Ohio to the late Carl Arthur Wagers, Jr. and the late Martha Juanita (Luckeydoo) Wagers.

Dennis retired from Contour Forming, Inc. He loved to be outdoors fishing and mushroom hunting, especially for Morels, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Denise J. Wagers of Nashport; son, Dennis Arthur Wagers, Jr. of Newark; grandchildren, Mia Leeann Welch, Silah Juanita Welch, Skylah Irene Welch, Elizabeth Wagers, Carl Wagers, and Isabelle Wagers; brother, Randy (Kathi) Wagers of Mount Vernon; sister, Juanita Garvin of Fruitland Park, Florida; nephews, Stephen Wagers, Jordan Wagers, Barry Cost, Teddy Cost, Jason Corsi, and Jody Corsi, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Jerri Irene (Ramsey) Hershey; and by a brother, Joseph Corsi; and a sister, Eva Walker.

A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at a later date.
