Denzil Lee Willey

A graveside service celebrating the life of Denzil Lee Willey, age 91, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Denzil was born January 14, 1931 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home. Denzil retired from AVI and had been employed for many years at Commercial Lovelace as a truck driver.

Denzil enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, tinkering in his shop, and doing crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his sons, Randy L. Willey of Land O’ Lakes, Florida and Matthew A. (Staci) Willey of Newark; grandchildren, Logan Willey and Gracie (Jackson) Miller.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. (Kopp) Willey; his mother, Opal Bell (Cornell) Willey; and by a son, David Lee Willey.
