Diana Kay Garcia

Diana Kay Garcia, 70, of Newark, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, after a eight year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at Embassy of Newark. She was born January 22, 1952, in Lancaster to the late Edward B. and Phyllis A. (Mapes) Sheppard. Diana lived in Albuquerque, NM for 30 years before moving back to Ohio six years ago. She enjoyed traveling, taking her dog for walks, and loved spending time with family. She is survived by her siblings, Terry (Karen) Sheppard of Millersport, Carolyn (Dave) Faught of Pataskala, and Edward (Jane) Sheppard of New Carlisle; one niece; five nephews; several great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; along with many friends and her Albuquerque family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo “Willie” Garcia; and her beloved dog, Millie. Memorial contributions may be made in Diana’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215. Per Diana’s request, no funeral services will be held.
