Dianna M. Wood, 70, of Thornville, passed away suddenly on September 28, 2021 at her home on the lake. She was born in Newark, on May 27, 1951, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Phyllis I. (Martin) Wood. She was a 1969 graduate of Newark H.S., and was employed at Walmart in Newark.

Dianna loved the sun and beach life, boating and loving her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving family: Significant Other Randy Friend; daughters Stacey (Eric Wooten) Fulk, Debbi (Travis) Hagans; her grandchildren Mindy (Shaun) Staley, Rachael Sweeney, Tyler (Savannah) Hagans, Cole Friend and Kaylynn Hammond; her great-grandchildren Makayla, Arion, Xavier, Wyatt, Bradley, Warren, Legaciey and Brett; her step-children Jamie (Danielle), Jodi (Jason), Jill (Jason), Jennifer (John) along with their eight step grandchildren; her sisters Barbara (Tom) Wood and Christina (Floyd) Bowersox;  her close friends Susanne McAlexander, Max and Karen; her nieces Bobbi and Sydney, nephews Patrick and Christopher; and her dogs Winston and Char; cat Charlie; and granddogs Roscoe, Journey and Sinbad.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lindsey Marie Allen in July 2019.

Private family services will be held and a public celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Dianna will be laid to rest with her parents in the Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington.
