Dion Scott Keplar

February 10, 1965 — April 18, 2025

Buckeye Lake

Dion Scott Keplar, age 60, of Buckeye Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 18, 2025, at his home. Born on February 10, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, Scott was a beloved son of the late Carl D. Keplar, Jr. and the late Patricia Ann (MeHarry) Keplar.

Scott was an electrician by trade. Outside of his profession, Scott found joy in the open road riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. He enjoyed tinkering on cars with his nephew Brian Brewer; Scott was the first one his sister Teresa would call if she needed a Handyman; he loved music, and was a huge John Wick movie fan.

A man with a big heart, Scott adored his dog, BabyGirl. His love of family was evident, and his memory will be cherished by those whose lives he touched.

Scott is survived by three siblings, Terry Transue of Westerville, Carl D. Keplar III of Newark, and Teresa LizAnn (Keplar) and her wife Brii, who he lovingly referred to as his Lil Sis, both of Thornville. He leaves behind a daughter, Alyssa M. Fisher of Pataskala; a step-son, Jordan Pickering of Johnstown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Transue.

The family will observe a private celebration of Scott’s life, honoring the wonderful memories and joyous moments they shared together.

Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Scott and his family
