Donald Bowers

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Donald L. Bowers, 58, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the chapel of The Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, with burial to follow at Olivet Cemetery, Ziontown. Donnie died Sunday morning, December 28, 2014 in Zanesville, following a long illness. He was born January 5, 1956, the son of Deloris Goodpasture. He attended Sheridan schools, and was retired from Thorn Township. He enjoyed truck pulls, drag racing and classic cars, along with hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake Moose lodge. He is survived by his loving family: companion of 20 years Mary Dupler, son Ronnie (Amy) Bowers , daughter Terri Zizek, step-daughter Cori (Matthew) Fritz, grandchildren Hunter, Karisa, Josie, Karlee, and Kaleigh; along with his five sisters and two brothers. His family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, December 30, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. 56 S Main St. in Thornville. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Genesis Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
