Donald Boyd Stafford

Donald Boyd Stafford, age 82, of Wooster, passed away on May 25, 2018 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. Donald was born August 10, 1935 in Clark, Ohio to the late Herman Francis and Erma Almetta (Boyd) Stafford. A veteran of the United States Navy, Donald served from 1953-57 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from AEP after 34 years of service where he had been employed in substation maintenance. He was a life member of the American Legion and the VFW and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Millersburg. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hilda C. (Miller) Stafford; daughter, Teresa (Tim) Hamner of Worthington; son, Matthew Stafford of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Adam (Mandy) Schobelock, Katie (Jonathan) Browning, Kyle (Erica) Schobelock and Alex Schobelock; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Barney) Barnhouse of Canton and Jean (Richard) Maxwell of Millersburg; brother, Kenneth (Kreath) Stafford of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Stafford. At his request, there will be no service observed.
