A funeral celebrating the life of Donald Charles Jaccaud, age 79, of Etna, will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Etna United Methodist Church. 500 Pike St. SW, Etna. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service at church, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Donald was born in Delaware on July 4, 1938 to the late Dale and Elsie (Rieple) Jaccaud. He passed away at Pataskala Oaks Care Center on January 20, 2018. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked for Big Bear for over 30 years. He was a prior member of Shady Lane Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Donald was a volunteer for Pilot Dogs, he enjoyed photography, freelance writing, kept a daily journal and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, where he served as an usher for many years. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Pauline E. Polly (Noland) Jaccaud, whom he married February 25, 1962; sons, Scott Jaccaud and Brian (Patti) Jaccaud; brother, Robert (Sylvia) Jaccaud; son-in-law, Paul Leber; grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremiah, Brittany, Emily and Chad; great grandchildren, Ethan, Noah and Jocelynn; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Leber; and a grandson, Andrew Hideg.
