Donald Allen Holiday

A funeral service celebrating the life of Donald Allen Holiday, age 65, of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 25, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Don was born December 22, 1956 in Newark, Ohio to the late James Norman and Doris Grace (Francis) Holiday. He passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Don was employed for 43 years with Famous Supply and retired in December of 2021. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Shawn) Clark of Newark; grandchildren, Bradlee Allen Beumel and Eli James Clark; sister, Wanda L. (Richard) Holiday LeBrun of Summerville, South Carolina; nieces and nephew, Kimberly S. Kidd, William L. Colstion, Jr., Brandy Danley, and Amber Danley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Danley; and brothers, Christopher Holiday, David Holiday, and James E. “Jimmy” Holiday.
