Donald M. Gardner

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Donald M Gardner, 82, of Alexandria, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018, in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Alexandria. Don died suddenly, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, following an accident in Newark, Ohio. He was born January 16, 1936 in Westerville, the son of the late Vern and Earnstine (Racy) Gardner. Don retired after 40 years of service as a carpenter at Licking Memorial Health Systems in Newark. He enjoyed spending time with family, and was a ham radio enthusiast. He was a former Wueblo pack master in Alexandria and a former member of the Sportsmens club of Pataskala. He is survived by his loving family: wife Janis (Russell) whom he married on March 10, 1956, his children Donna (Harold) Byers, Kevin (Lisa) Gardner, Kelly Ward, Tracy (Patricia) Gardner, Jeremy (Lynsey) Gardner, Joshua (Tiffany) Gardner, Jacob Gardner; his 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for Don and his family.
