Donna Lou Wagner

Donna Lou (Kirk) Wagner, age 95, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Main Street Terrace Care Center in Lancaster. Donna was born in Pleasant City, Ohio on February 7, 1927 to the late James O. and Golden Catherine (Schneid) Kirk. Donna was raised by her brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Rachel. She grew up in a large family with nine brothers and sisters and she was the last of her family. She met her husband, Paul, and together they had three children, Jerry (Carol) Wagner, Shirley (Mark) Hickey and Mike Wagner. She has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wagner; many brothers and sisters; and one grandchild. Donna worked for a school cafeteria in Jacksontown and JC Penney in Lancaster. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, sewing, baking cookies and traveling. She was a member of the Buckeye Lake Moose Lodge and Thornville Women’s Club. The family would like to thank the Sterling House, Lancaster Hospital staff and Fairhope Hospice for the wonderful care she received over the years, along with the staff and Dr. Lloyd at Main Street Terrace Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. At Donna’s request, there will be no services.
