Donna Patricia West

Donna Patricia West, age 77, of Newark, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born January 19, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Simeon Grant Carroll and the late Elsie Jane (Dials) Cheek.

Donna retired from Tech International in Johnstown where she had been a press operator. She adored being a homemaker, loved horses and her precious cats. She enjoyed watching soap operas and trips to Amish Country.

She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Herbert D. West III, whom she married October 12, 2007; daughter, Melissa Jane (Thomas E.) Miller of Newark; son, Charles Andrew Snyder, Jr. of Newark; step-son, Kevin (Stephanie) West of Newark; grandchildren, William N. Appel IV, Ronald L. Armes, Demi R. Armes, Karen B. M. Chapman (Adam) Elkins, Coltan B. Webb, Zachary A. Snyder, Trevor West, Morah J. Miller, Cooper West, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sondra Jean Buck of Columbus; and nephews, Tim (Elsie) Buck of Reynoldsburg and Kevin (Bobbie) Buck of Hilliard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Anne Snyder; and husband, Charles Albert Snyder.

At her request, no visitation or service will be observed. The family will have a private gathering to celebrate her life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of Hospice of Central Ohio in memory of her, where she was treated with the utmost compassion, dignity, kindness and LOVE. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
