Funeral services, celebrating the life of Doris Aileen Miller, 63, of Thornville, will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Brad Kittle as celebrant. Burial will follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.Doris passed away early Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Newark following a brief illness. She was born in Charleston, WV, on October 14, 1954, the daughter of the late James Richard and Patricia Ann (Aheart) Marshall.Doris worked as a teller at the Hopewell Federal Credit Union in Heath, and loved to fish and travel with her husband, and visit with her friends.She is survived by her loving family: Husband John, whom she married on October 11, 1986, her daughter Kayla Miller, step daughters Dawn (Chris) Kelly, Heather (Michael) Simpkins; seven grandchildren; siblings Dennis (Sarah) Marshall, Deborah Lilly, Robbie (Wendy) Ennis and Sherry Taylor, along with several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 56 South Main St. in Thornville, and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m.Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
