Dorothea Lynd

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Dorothea H. Lynd, 95, formerly of Pataskala, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor John Allen as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery. Dorothea was born in Harrison Township, on February 1, 1918, the daughter of the late John Shipman and Minnie Florence (Tunison) Reelhorn. She was a graduate of Kirkersville H.S., class of 1935. A lifelong member of the Pataskala community, she worked with her husband Arnold in the Lynd Fruit Farm. She was a lifelong member of Alexandria Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving family: J. Mitchell (Penny) Lynd of Johnstown, Lester (Marcia) Lynd and David (Debra) Lynd of Pataskala, Brenda (Fred) Schostag of Vadnais Heights, MN.; 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren, along with her brother Richard Reelhorn of Kirkersville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Lynd in November, 1990, her four sisters and one brother. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2014, from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E.
