Dorothy E. Cook, 85, of Thornville, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. She was born on July 20, 1928 in Somerset, daughter of the late John and Louise (Bussey) Williams. Dorothy was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church and enjoyed Sheridan sports, especially football. A devoted wife and mother, she also enjoyed baking, crocheting, various arts and crafts, bowling, as well as spending time with her kids and grandkids.She is survived by her loving family: husband, Ira, whom she married on February 24, 1962; children Johnny Lambert and Becky (Ben) Aberegg; four grandchildren: Joshua, Jeremy (Jackie), Misty, and Jarrod; two great-grandchildren: Kaydin and Bentley; one brother, Stanley (Betty) Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Robert.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S.
