Dorothy J. Kessler

A graveside service for Dorothy J. Kessler, age 80, of Newark, will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Newark Memorial Gardens.Dorothy was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on April 29, 1937 to the late Richard and Roberta (Downs) Hayman. She passed away at Heath Nursing Care Center on October 25, 2017. Survivors include her children, Wendy Rizer Deckard, Ricky Rizer, and Gene Hamilton; step-son, Robert Hamilton, step-daughter Marsha Hamilton (Galik); sister, Alpha Hill; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Gene T. Hamilton and Frank Kessler; sisters, Esther Van Fossen, Mayoma Butterbaugh and Juanita Hayman; brothers, Robert, William and Richard Kessler; and step-son Bruce Hamilton.
