Dorothy Jean Minkos

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dorothy Jean Minkos, age 83, of Newark, will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Doug Lynn officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.Dorothy was born in Licking County on February 17, 1931 to the late George Lewis and Jane Ann (Myers) Link. She passed away at Kindred Health Care Center in Newark on December 30, 2014.Prior to retirement, Dorothy was a nurses aide for many years. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.Survivors include her sons, Robert L. Minkos, Harlan E. (Kim) Minkos and Timothy A. (Connie) Minkos; daughter, Victoria L. (Dennis) Pairan; grandchildren, Matt, Ashley, Brandy, Cassie and Colin; and numerous brothers, sister, nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, William and Roger Minkos.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy to the Carol Strawn Center, 126 W.
