Dorothy Laughlin

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Dorothy Laughlin, 83, of Pataskala will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13 , 2012 in the Columbia Center Church, 6408 Columbia Rd. SW, Pataskala, 43062, with Pastor Mike McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Pataskala Cemetery.Dorothy passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Cleveland Clinic. She was born in Obetz, Ohio on August 6, 1929 to the late Alfred and Hazel Marie (Clingman) Bower. Dorothy was employed with AVI at Western Electric on East Broad St. in Columbus for 29 years. She was a lifetime member of Columbia Center Church and enjoyed bible studies, growing flowers, playing wii bowling and travelling.She is survived by her loving family: daughters: Joyce (Robert) Durham and Nancy Long; one granddaughter, Lisa R. Fries; step grandchildren: Jennifer Long, Chuck Long, Robert Durham, Jr., Ronald Durham and Leanna Bowers; sister, Francis (Ed) Weekly; sister-in-law, Eleanor Morey; brother-in-law, Frank (Doris) Laughlin, numerous step great grandchildren, step great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Cy Laughlin; brothers Warren, John, and William Bower; sisters, Joyce Harrison and Glenna Howes; and son-in-law, Bob Long.Friends may call on Monday, November 12, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 East Main Street, and again on Tuesday at the church one hour prior to services.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association; envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.An on-line guest register and video tribute to Dorothy are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for the Laughlin Family.
