Dorothy Marie “Dot” (McClain) Flowers, age 61, of Hebron, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her home. Dorothy was born October 18, 1959 in Newark, Ohio to the late Donald E. and Sylvia Elaine (Ogilbee) McClain.
Dot was a homemaker and had also been employed with J.C. Penney for 18 years. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, and loved kids and animals. She was an excellent storyteller.
She is survived by a son, Jeremy J. McClain of Columbus; grandchildren, Deija Garcia, Alyiah Garcia, Makiah Leogrande, Ava Garcia and Kolt James; great-grandson, Kaevion Michael Harper; sisters, Georgia M. Warner of Buckeye Lake and Teresa M. Hoffer of Newark; brother, Donald McClain, Jr. of Newark; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved Yorkiepoo, Zoie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nadina Marie McClain, in 1996; a brother, Artie McClain; and a sister, Dianna Sue Allen.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, at the Hebron Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 108 North 7 th Street in Hebron. Due to Covid-19 concerns, masks must be worn inside the funeral home and the building capacity is limited to 35. Please practice social distancing.
The family will observe a private funeral service.
