Douglas Patrick Bullock

Douglas Patrick Bullock, 69, formerly of Kirkersville, died Tuesday evening, October 20, 2020, from complications of COVID 19. Doug was born March 16, 1951, in Columbus, the son of the late Guy Harlan and Pauline Lucille (McConnell) Bullock.

Doug attended Newark Starlight School, and retired after a 25 plus year career working at LICCO sheltered workshop in Heath.

Doug loved spending time with people, was a member of the Kirkersville United Methodist Church; and loved listening to music and watching T.V., especially “Little House on the Prairie” and “Bonanza”. He also had a favorite stuffed animal “Monkey” that he liked to have with him.

He is survived by his loving family: brothers Ron Bullock of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Mike (Kathy) Bullock of Upper Arlington, sisters Sharon (Lowell) Stout of Pataskala, Diane (Frank) Ingram of Bushnell, Florida and Melody (Larry) Ables of Gulf Breeze, Florida; along with many nieces and nephews, and his feline companion “Mr. Kitty”.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM  in the Kirkersville Cemetery, where Doug will be laid to rest with his parents Guy and Pauline Bullock. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear masks for your protection.

The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to the staff of The Pataskala Oaks Care Center, who lovingly cared for Dougie for the last 4 ½ years of his life.
