Douglas James Marconi

Douglas James Marconi, age 58, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2023. Doug was born September 8, 1964 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Harry James Marconi and the late Patricia Anne (Vandervort) Marconi Kelly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, John M. Kelly, and his step-mother, Ruth Marconi.

Doug was self-employed in woodworking and was very talented at his craft. He enjoyed cooking and was especially known for his pasta dishes. Doug also enjoyed living at Buckeye Lake, traveling, and playing with his dogs, Luca and Jack. The highlight of his life was spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and William “Rocky” McKinney of Springfield; niece, Hannah Brynn McKinney; nephew, Samuel Alexander McKinney; uncle and aunt, David and Jean Vandervort; cousins, Eric (Alli) Vandervort, Stephanie Garrett (Neil Todich), David Garrett, Brittney Garrett, and Kathy Marconi; and many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service honoring Doug’s life will be held at a later date.
