Dustin O. Hawkins, Sr.

Dustin O. Hawkins, Sr., age 85, of Newark, passed away on August 29, 2014 at Autumn Health Care Center in Newark. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 23, 1928 to the late Dustin and Margaret (Rizer) Hawkins.Dustin proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he was a supervisor at Schuler-Leukart Incorporated in Columbus. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Columbus. He enjoyed photography, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his two sons, Dustin Hawkins Jr. of Columbus and Bob (Tara) Hawkins of Newark; grandchildren, Bob Little Bob (Angela) Hawkins and Robert Maurice Hawkins II; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Elizabeth (Dean) Hawkins in 1995; two brothers, Donald and Gene; and two sisters, Helen and Emma Jean.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark, is honored to care for the Hawkins family.
