Dwight E. Glasmeier

A funeral service celebrating the life of Dwight E. Glasmeier, age 70, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with Pastor Everece Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark, two hours prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Dwight was born in Newark, Ohio on August 2, 1947 to the late Herman and Hazel (Frazier) Glasmeier. He passed away at his residence on January 6, 2018, while surrounded by his family. Prior to retirement, he was a dedicated worker for Owens Corning for 37 years. He was a member of the GMP Local # 244 and the Newark Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, motorcycling and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Margie (Richmond) Glasmeier; children, Ann (John) Glasmeier, Paul Glasmeier and Maria (Kevin) Farmer; siblings, Doug Glasmeier, Jeff (Sandy) Glasmeier and Teresa Stidham; grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Cody G., Shyeanne and Cody W.; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
