A funeral service, celebrating the life of Earlene Rae Riggs, 74, of Millersport, will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with burial to follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.Earlene passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Pickering House following an extended illness. She was born April 15, 1938, in Charleston, W.V., the daughter of the late Delbert and Estelle (Shaffer) Walker. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going on cruises and wintering at her home in Florida. She is survived by her husband, Darrell, her daughter Loralee (Clayton) Corbin of Buckeye Lake, step children Melody (Mike) Nagode, Jackie (Jeff) Watson, Lisa (Danny) Johnson; grandchildren Nichole, Stephen Jr., Amanda, Jason, John Jr., Deric, Joshua, Jared, Jayce, & Amber; many great-grandchildren; her sisters Pauline (Roy) Green and Carolyn (Ron) Hayes; along with many other step and half siblings, many nieces and nephews, along with her beloved dogs Princess & Inky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sons Stephen R., George C. and John A. Babcock; and her granddaughter Christina McNerney.
