Edna Behling

A funeral service celebrating the life of Edna Behling, 93, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Celebrant Mark Dettmer officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.Edna was born in Toronto, Ohio on August 12, 1921 to the late Edwin L. and Amelia Mae (Wedger) Ewing. She passed away on May 5, 2015 at Heath Nursing Care Center.Prior to retiring, Edna worked for Heisey Glass Company, Owens-Corning Fiberglas, Holophane, E.T. Rugg, Essex Wire, along with a few other various jobs. She enjoyed collecting dolls and costume jewelry, flower gardening and she especially enjoyed spending time with her dogs and loving family.Survivors include her children, Goldie Farson of Newark, Barbara (Dan) Brown of Lyndonville, NY, Billie Jo (Kim) Darkes of Newark and Edwin J. (Beth) Ferry of Newark; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Behling in 2008; daughter, Mary Sunkle; four grandchildren; and three brothers.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edna to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
