Edward Allen Schumacher

Edward Allen Schumacher II, 57, of Thornville, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on August 20, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 22, 1964 to Edward Allen and Mary E. (Andrews) Schumacher. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to retirement, he was a cook and kitchen manager for many clubs and restaurants over the years. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles # 281; Buckeye Lake Moose # 2434; Thornville Amvets # 51; and an honorary member of Megs 9. He enjoyed bowling, boating, DJing and cooking and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburg Steelers. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Lisanne (Steven) Volz; nieces, Tahrea Perez, Kayla Perez and Kelly Perez; nephew, Jonny (Courtney) Perez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Virginia Andrews and paternal grandparents, Adam and Harriet Schumacher. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edward to Thornville Amvets # 51 or to Buckeye Lake Eagles # 281. A memorial service, celebrating Edwards life will be held at the Thornville Amvets on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Edward and his family.
