Edwin D. Rowland

Edwin was born January 29 1928, in Muskingum County to the late Dennis Rowland and Jeanette Polen. He married the love of his life, the beautiful Helen Elizabeth Finck Rowland in 1945 and they were married 75 wonderful years until her death in 2021. Ed retired from Kaiser Aluminum and owned a Butcher Business for years in the Thornville area. Ed was a proud veteran and served his country during World War II. Ed also was a bee enthusiast and sold local honey and mentored beekeepers from all over Ohio. Ed was most happy when he was hosting visitors and loved sitting outside visiting with whoever may stop by to chat. Ed and Helen loved traveling during their retirement years. Ed is survived by his son Edwin Rowland Jr. several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by his siblings Delbert, Minta, Mabel, Lotus and Elyse and a special nephew Terry Rowland sr. Per Ed’s wishes there will be a private graveside ceremony at a later date with his nephews Rev. Donny Rowland and Rev. Joe Rowland officiating.
