Eileen Elizabeth Bass

A Funeral Mass for Eileen Elizabeth Bass, age 88, of Millersport, will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Buckeye Lake, with Father Bill Hritsko as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lockbourne. Visitation will be held at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Eileen was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on February 15, 1929 to the late Thomas and Catherine (Murray) Kane. She passed away on June 13, 2017 at the Thornville Health and Rehab Center while surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was a devoted homemaker to her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed walking her dog, Lela; dancing; cooking; traveling, especially to Florida; and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her four loving children, Sandy (Ron) Bowman, Judy (Darryl) Welch, Ray (Janet) Bass and Linda Bass; nine grandchildren, Michael, Marcel, Mark, Julie, Rodney, Ronny, Randy, Shawn and Jason; 18 great grandchildren, Ashley, Darrell, Jamie, Jason, Jessa, Skylynn, Shaylynn, Cassy, Cindy, Courtney, Christina, Mark Jr., Catherine, Jenna, Kaitlyn, Molly, Collin and Evan; two great great grandchildren, Malachi and Liahm; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Bass; three sisters, Mary Ellen Tychan, Annabelle Morgan and Jeanette Reed; and two brothers, Jim Kane and Thomas Kane.
