Elaine Watkins

Elaine Watkins, 72, of Millersport, formerly of Columbus, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at her home following an extended illness. She was born October 29, 1942, in Columbus, the daughter of the late Ray and Pauline (Hammons) Harmon.Retired from Brookshire Food Liner, enjoyed plants and gardening, barrel racing and riding horses. An excellent baker, she also enjoyed spending time making many wedding cakes, as well as knitting, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family. She also rescued many stray animals.She is survived by her husband John A. Watkins, son Wes Stevens, Granddaughter Jessica (Alan) Davis of Etna, Great Grandchildren Carson, Bentley and Mason Davis, Brother Dave Harmon, Sisters Carol Schneider and Sandi Straight, several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, a sister Barb is deceased.A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service.
