Elijah Henry Todd

Elijah was freed from Batten Disease and welcomed home to Heaven and the arms of Christ at nine years of age on January 20, 2020. He touched so many with his light but none as much as those his light was taken from, his dad and mom, Mike and TaShawna Todd; siblings, Thailor, Jacob, Emma and Carter; loving grandparents, Henry and Diane Todd, Mickie and Patricia Berger; his uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends that have become family. He lived each moment with such bravery and fight. He smiled and rallied more times than anyone thought possible. Elijah’s spirit was infectious from birth, there always was something about him that drew people in. He made many new friends just being out and people noticing that gorgeous head of red hair from afar and the sweet face it surrounded. More than that he affected change in people, in their character, hearts and spirits. He encouraged so many to be better, to be overcomers of life’s many trials. He taught us what it means to be grateful, faithful, blessed and joyful. He taught us to find joy in each situation and how strength can come in the hardest of times, he is still showing us that today. Run and play free our sweet amazing boy, you have been the best son, grandson and brother we could have ever dreamed of.

Family and friends may call on Friday January 24, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 179 Granville Street, Newark, OH 43055. A service to honor and celebrate Elijah’s life will be held on Saturday January 25th at 4 p.m. with visiting from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made in Elijah’s name to Batten Disease Support and Research Association 2780 Airport Dr. #342, Columbus, OH 43219 or directly to the funeral home to assist the family.
