Elizabeth M. Barrett

December 30, 1930 — September 29, 2018

A memorial service celebrating the life of Elizabeth M. Barrett, 87, of Millersport, Ohio, formerly of New York City, NY, will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Millersport United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jim Condrey officiating.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Marble Collegiate Church Columbarium in New York City. Elizabeth was born on December 30, 1930 in Astoria, NY to the late Samuel and Emily (Craig) Mackey.  She passed away on September 29, 2018 at Lanfair in Lancaster. Prior to retirement, she was an administrative assistant with an advertising firm in New York City. She was a member of Marble Collegiate Church in New York City, where she was active with Bible study and the senior group.  She attended Millersport United Methodist Church.  While in New York City, she enjoyed Broadway shows, opera, the beach at Fire Island and traveling abroad with friends. Survivors include her sister, Florence Harlow; nephew, John (Brenda) Harlow; nieces, Heather (Jeff) Terry and Karen (Chuck) Reedy; great nieces and nephews, Ashlea, Kevin, Chance, Jennifer, Kristin, Justin, Christopher and Nathan; great great nieces and nephews, Emily, Ava, J.C., Kenlea, Rilyn, Coltyn, Kiley, Cody, Hank, Mack and Duke; and many close long-time friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Barrett; and brother-in-law, Richard Harlow. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Millersport United Methodist Church or Marble Collegiate Church.
