A funeral service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth I. McConnell, age 85, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Foley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.Elizabeth was born in Hebron, Ohio on November 14, 1928 to the late Wilber C. and Amelia (Clay) Deck. She passed away at Mt. Carmel East on November 5, 2014.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary E. and Wallace Wade of Marne; sister, Virginia Call of Bremen; grandchildren, Wayne Wade, Candy (Craig) Lehman, Sheri (Curtis) May and Brandy (James) Thompson; great grandchildren, Adam, Brooke, Malakii, Kyler, Destiny, Russell and Wayne Jr.; special friend, Shirley May; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice E. McConnell; brother, Kenneth Deck; and sister, Evelyn Gorley.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Elizabeth to the Susan G. Koman Foundation, P.O.
