ElizabethBetty (Wyckoff) Shell, 88, of Poplarville, Mississippi, formerly of Thornville, passed away onFebruary 14, 2012 at Pearl River County Hospital, Mississippi. She was born on January 26, 1924 in Millersport, Ohio to the late Ralph and Jenny (Chalfant) Wyckoff. Mrs. Shell was a homemaker, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Thornville, and active in the Perry County Senior Citizens andCountyExtension.She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Rebecca (Don) Mayeux, of Picayune, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hale Shell; grandchildren, Deborah (Matthew) Hamel, Michael (Jamie) Mayeux, Michael James, Jr. (Brandi) Shell; great-granchildren, Justin and Emily Hamel, Eli and Cali Shell, and Dale, Gabrielle, and Christopher Mayeux.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Abner Shell; son, Michael Shell, Sr.; great-grandson, Nathan Mayeux; brothers, Charles and Luke Wyckoff; sisters, Mary Ellen Amore, Etta Miller, Ida Crane, Dorothy Folts, and Peggy Garrison.A funeral service, celebrating Bettys life, will be held11:00AM on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Thornville home of Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service with the Rev. Patricia Battle officiating.
