Elizabeth Ann Varrasso

A funeral service celebrating the life of Elizabeth Ann Varrasso, 88, of Heath, will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Father Bill Hritsko officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Elizabeth was born in Newark, Ohio on August 23, 1933 to the late George and Inez (Fowler) Johnson. She passed away at her residence on March 7, 2022. Elizabeth was a devoted homemaker to her family. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing bingo, traveling, especially cruising, and also enjoyed collecting dolls. Most important was the time she spent with her loving family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Eugene C. Varrasso, whom she married September 8, 1951; children, Eugene (Susan Kay) Varrasso, Jr., Pamela Kay (Stan) Wolfersberger, Joseph A. (Cheryl Ann) Varrasso, Nina Varrasso and Sueann (David) Karam; sister, Brenda Sue Holland; grandchildren, Nicole (Krys), Stanley, Joe, Jennifer (Dan), Jeff, Lisa, Katie and Mike; great grandchildren, Lexi, Lincoln and Basti; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Varrasso; brothers and sisters, Juanita, Shirley, Tom and Junior. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Elizabeth to Hospice of Central Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
