Ellen Sue Tracy

A memorial service celebrating the life of Ellen Sue Tracy, age 72, of Thornville, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, at Grace Lutheran Church, 65 East Columbus Street, Thornville, with Pastor Beth Bateson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church.Ellen was born July 16, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Earl Elba and Susannah Helen (Goebbel) Pennington. She passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Fairfield Medical Center.Ellen was a very active and faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed watching TV and dearly loved her dog, Stanley.She is survived by her husband, Rick Tracy; son, Tom (Kathy) Laird of Thornville; step-daughter, Heather Tracy of Thurston; step-son, Ryan Lee Tracy of Lancaster; grandchildren, Justin James (Brie) Laird of Crestview, Florida, Jacob Thomas Laird and Jaret Robert Laird, both of Thornville; great-grandson, Kaiden Thomas Laird; step-grandchildren, Karlee Tracy Baker of Thurston and Hannah Tracy of Lancaster; sisters, Mary Louise (Kenny) Fannin of Millersport, Beth (Gary) Gilgien of Thornville and Regina Johnson of Bremen; sister-in-law, Patricia Conte of Baltimore, Maryland; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Pennington.Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Thornville is honored to care for Ellen and her family.
