Elvin Ingle Stancoff, age 93, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Price Road Health and Rehabilitation Center. Elvin was born June 11, 1924 in Collinsville, Texas to the late Elmer and Lena (Ingle) Stancoff. Elvin was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Columbia Gas. He was a Mason and a member of the VFW. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and reading. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Lottie Naomi (Hail) Stancoff, whom he married January 17, 1945; and by two daughters, Carol S. Palmer of Heath and Deana Carrington (Brian Litteral) of Circleville; two grandsons, Brian (Karen) Turpin and Brett (Miranda) Palmer; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. At his request, a private entombment will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens.
