Erica Nicole Hardy

A funeral service celebrating the life of Erica Nicole Hardy, age 36, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Denig officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Erica was born December 17, 1982 in Newark, Ohio. She passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Laurels of Heath. Erica attended E.S. Weiant School. She was a social butterfly and had so many friends. She always greeted you with a big hug and was known to be mischievous. She loved church, gospel singing and saying AMEN! Erica enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, and participating in Special Olympics. She went to State Finals for several years.

She is survived by her father, David E. Hardy of Buckeye Lake; mother, Debra Lynn (Donaldson) Hardy of Frazeysburg; sister who raised her, Tonya Hardy of Buckeye Lake; half brother, Kyle A. May of Frazeysburg; nieces and nephews, Heather Nicole Hardy (Aaron Munson) of Newark, Cordero Joseph Hardy of Newark, Megan Marie Raleigh of Gahanna, Morgan Leona Raleigh of Gahanna and Nathaniel Reid Hardy of Buckeye Lake.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Alyssa Lynn Hardy.
