Erick E. Kreager

A memorial service celebrating the life of Erick E. “Treebark” Kreager, 54 of Newark, will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Pastor Jeff Hawkins officiating. Erick was born in Newark, Ohio on February 15, 1968 to Phillip (Nancy) Kreager and Patricia (Murphy) Kreager. He passed away at his residence on August 31, 2022. Erick was a welder and pipe fitter, working with Houston Plumbing and Gutridge Plumbing for many years. He was a member of the Ohio Bow Hunters Association; NAPA, Valley and APA pool leagues. He was an avid hunter, where he was an inventor of archery products, and fisherman and he also enjoyed boating, motorcycling and playing pool. Most important was the time he spent with his loving family and friends. In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Lora L. (Hoffman) Kreager, whom he married December 29, 1995; daughters, Ericka Kreager, Brooke Kreager, and Paige Kreager; brothers, Richard (Michelle) Kreager and Chad Kreager; grandchildren, Chloe McMillian, Krew Kreager and Keira Caplinger. He is preceded in death by a brother, Bob Kreager. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Erick and his family.
