Ethel Braden

Funeral services celebrating the life of Ethel Braden, 85, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Tom Rodgers as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 am until time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, 285 East Main St in Kirkersville.

Ethel passed peacefully at home on Sunday, May 19, 2024, with her family at her side. She was born September 21, 1938, in Middleburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alva Earl and Nora (Hupp) Clark.

An active member of the Buckeye Lake community, where she participated in the Buckeye Lake Fire belles, Buckeye Lake Youth Association and was a member of the Hebron Christian Church.

She is survived by her loving family:  Donna (Tom) Clary, Ron (Marilyn) Braden, Jackie (Steven) French; her grandchildren Stephanie (Danny) Myers, Nicholas (Natasha) Hersman, Nicholas (Emily) Braden, Steven (Tracy) French, Amanda (Brian) Gilder, Mark French; her great grandchildren Matt, Shay French, Dane and Austin Myers, Tristan and Daylynn Cost, Kolton and Rowan Hersman, Kayla, Dylan, Tanner and Tristen Braden, Joselyn, Abagail, and Isabella French, Noah Braden, Brianna, Emit Gilder and Caden French; her great-great grandson Kingston; along with Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years George Braden, whom she married on June 16, 1956, and who preceded her in death on January 1, 2020; her 3 brothers and her great grandson Joseph French.
