Ethel Avonell Dyer

A memorial service and visitation for Ethel A. Dyer, 89, of Millersport, will be held on Wednesday, May 18 ^th , 2022, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with Clifford Mason as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7:30 pm, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Ethel passed away on May 11, 2022, in Westerville. She was born on February 1, 1933, in Webb Ville, KY., the daughter of the late Brady and Ollie (Thompson) McCoy. A lifelong homemaker and diligent worker, she retired after working for both North American Rockwell in Columbus and Diebold Corporation in Hebron.

She loved living on Lieb’s island at Buckeye Lake, enjoyed boating and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also loved cooking with her son Greg.

She is survived by her loving family: daughter Pam Daniels; step daughters Denice (Bill) Abbot and Debbie (Chuck) Maynard;  grandchildren Brandon (Maggie) Dutton, Tianna (Jason) McMillan, Sean (Erin) Abbot, Erica (John) Daft, Adam (Kate) Abbot;  great grandchildren Ava, Adelyn, Andrew Dutton,  Maddox and Ethan McMillan, Lincoln, Presley, Eliza Abbot, Will & Nora Daft, Liam, Munro, Elowen Abbot

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Dyer in 2013, her son Greg Johnson, and her siblings Clifford, Clinton, Clyde, Monnie and Bonnie.
