Ethel I. Wright

A funeral service for Ethel I. Wright, age 85, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Pastor Irene Wilson and Rev. Jerry Mears officiating. Burial will take place in Rocky Fork Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.Ethel was born September 23, 1928 in Newark, Ohio to the late Charles and Minnie (Shaffer) Gleckler. She passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare of Newark. Over the years, Ethel was employed with the S.S. Kresge Co., Mill Discount, Arcade Drug and retired from CVS.She is survived by three sons, Charles (Betty) Wright, Kenny (Marti) Wright and Bradley (Kerri) Wright, all of Newark; step-children, Bob (Linda) Wright, Don (Joyce) Wright and Darla (Dave) Cocanour, all of Newark; grandchildren, Amanda, William, Shawn (Jessie), Cassie, Tyler, Hannah, Robert, Kandy and Joe Wright, Angie, Brian and Holly Frost and Danielle and Deanna Cocanour; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence (Rose) Gleckler of Pataskala; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Eugene Wright, in October of 1985; and by a sister.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Wright family.
