Evelyn A. Watts, 93, of Blacklick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born April 1, 1920 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late James E. and Stella D. (Allen) McGuire. She was a retired school teacher, and active member of the Reynoldsburg U M Church. Evelyn was the former Choir director at Faith UM Church in Newark and a noted soloist with the Golden Clefs singing group.She is survived by her loving family: daughter Kathleen (Bruce) Ashcraft of Pataskala, son Mark (Cynthia) Watts of Auburn, N.H., grandchildren Alan (Emily) Ashcraft, Christina (Jason) Dotson, Aaron (Mandy) Watts, Nathan Ashcraft, David Watts, and Ann (Jonathan) Kesler; and her 8 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters and a brother.Friends may call on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, where funeral services celebrating her life will follow on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Crooksville Cemetery.An on-line guest register and video tribute are available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.comHOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, Kirkersville, are honored to care for the Watts family.
