Evelyn K. Oxley

A funeral service celebrating the life of Evelyn K. Oxley, age 92, of Groveport, formerly of Newark, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Evelyn was born January 5, 1922 in Newark, Ohio. She passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Emeritus at Lakeview in Groveport. Evelyn had been employed with Ohio Power and had been a realtor in Licking County for many years. She was a member of Moundbuilders Country Club where she enjoyed playing in the golf league. She also enjoyed painting and playing Bridge. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Mary Oxley of Pickerington; grandson, Andy Oxley of Lake Forest, Illinois; and sisters-in-law, Lydia Micki Wareham of Newark and Mary Virginia Faller of Visalia, California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark P. Oxley, on August 6, 1991; and by an aunt, Doris McCracken.
