Evelyn Louise Perkins

A funeral mass celebrating the life of Evelyn Louise Perkins, 70, of Hebron, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Buckeye Lake, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala.Evelyn died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born in Glouster, Ohio on June 23, 1945, the daughter of the late Henry and Ellen (King) Shafer. A lifelong homemaker, she was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert; daughters, Terrie (Mike) Bussey, Lisa (Ray) Farson, and son, Gary (Lisa); grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Ryan, Cody and Sarah; brothers, Charles, Eugene, James, Richard and Donald Shafer; sisters, Bonnie Thompson and Mary Fisher; along with many nieces and nephews; her 97 year old mother-in-law, Thelma Perkins; and Angel, her Bichon.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William and John Shafer and a sister, Katherine Haynes.Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E.
