A funeral service, celebrating the life of Evelyn Faye Mohler, 91, of Thornville, will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the Thornville United Methodist Church, with her Pastor, Jeremy Shank as celebrant. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bernard, in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.Evelyn died peacefully on Thursday evening, July 9, 2015, at her home following an extended illness. She was born March 16, 1924, in Pickerington, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Eversole) Strahm. She was a graduate of Pickerington H.S., class of 1943. She worked for Nationwide Insurance Company, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Church Women.She is survived by her sons John Mohler and Jerry (Jenny) Mohler; grandchildren Michele Mohler, Joshua (Stacey) Mohler, Julita (Jon) Spohn; great-grandchildren Michael, Zachary, Tyler, Emma, Hayden, Addisyn, Treyson and Kinslee; great-great grandson Aiden; along with her sister Helen Beals of Newark; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, brothers Harold and James Strahm, and her infant brothers Floyd and Lloyd.Friends may call at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street in Thornville, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015 and again on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services, at the church.The family prefers that memorials be directed to the FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
