Fern R. Pickett

Fern R. Pickett, age 89, of Thornville, passed away on August 3, 2015 at her home. She was born May 22, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Marie (Davy) Rawlins.Fern was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail sorter. She was a member of Am-Vets Post 51 and attended Thornville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading.She is survived by a son, Daniel S. Mefford; nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pickett; a son, Jeffrey A. Mefford; and sisters, Lois McMichael and Joan Rawlins.Private interment will take place in Glen Haven Cemetery, New Carlisle, Ohio.The Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for the Pickett family.
