Florence "Flo" Galbraith

A memorial service celebrating the life of Florence E. “Flo” Galbraith, 95, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Flo was born in Fairmont, WV on September 12, 1928 to the late Burton E. and Pansey Brown. She passed away at Arlington Care Center on January 5, 2024. Flo was a devoted homemaker to her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Prior to retirement, Flo worked at McDonalds for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping, fishing, and going to yard sales. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Burton and Kris Cornwell; sister, Shirley Benson; grandchildren, Tyler Cornwell, David Winner and Courtney Winner; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Ray Cornwell; second husband, Harold Galbraith; daughter, Ronda Winner; brother, Don Brown; and sisters, Martha Pharis and Marjorie Abel. The family would like to thank her cousin, Joyce, for all of the love and care that was provided to Flo over the past couple of years. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Flo to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
